Pricing explained

What it actually costs to rent a Tesla in Slovenia.

From 90€ a day out of season and 120€ in summer, insurance and unlimited mileage included. Below is every line that can appear on your bill — and every one that cannot.

The short answer

Between 90€ and 120€ a day, depending on the season.

Slovenia has a clear high season. Between May and September demand roughly doubles, and the daily rate reflects that: 120€ a day in summer against 90€ from October through April. Nothing else about the car or the service changes — only the date.

The second factor is how long you keep it. A single day costs 120€, but from six days onward the rate drops to 90€ a day, and a full month works out at 2500€. Most people underestimate how much the longer brackets save: a week costs roughly what four separate single days would.

What matters more than the headline number is what is already inside it. Full comprehensive insurance is included rather than sold at handover. Mileage is unlimited, so there is no per-kilometre charge waiting at the end. Delivery anywhere in Ljubljana is free. The car arrives at 100 % charge.

That last point is worth a moment. Conventional rentals hand you a full tank and expect a full tank back, and refuelling it yourself costs real money. An electric car returns to full on a home or hotel charger overnight, and a Supercharger stop costs a fraction of a tank of petrol.

The deposit is a refundable security hold, kept separate from the rental cost and returned once the car is checked back in. It is not an additional charge.

No fuel bill, no mileage counter.

Two of the largest variable costs in a conventional rental simply do not exist here.

The rate is the price.

Insurance, unlimited mileage and a full battery are already inside the daily number.

In practice

Three typical bookings.

01

A weekend at Bled

Friday to Sunday costs 220€, delivery in Ljubljana free. The return drive to Bled is about 110 km — roughly a fifth of the battery, so charging never enters the picture.

02

A week touring Slovenia

Seven days at the 6-day-plus rate works out around 630€ in low season. Ljubljana, Bled, Piran, Maribor and back is comfortably under 800 km, with Superchargers along every leg.

03

A month for work

2500€ covers a full month with unlimited mileage. Against leasing or daily rates it is the cheapest way to have a Tesla long term without buying one.

04

Arriving by air

Add a flat 30€ to any of the above and the car meets you at Ljubljana Airport instead — and that fee covers the return to the terminal too.

05

Travelling with children

A child seat is 10€ a day but stops accumulating at 30€. A two-week rental with a seat costs the same 30€ as a three-day one.

06

Comparing to petrol

A mid-range petrol rental in summer often lands near 90€–100€ a day before insurance, fuel and mileage limits. Add those and the gap closes or reverses.

No surprises

Charges that do not exist here.

  • No mileage cap — and therefore no per-kilometre penalty at return.
  • No insurance upsell — comprehensive cover is in the rate, not offered at the counter for extra.
  • No fuel policy — the car arrives full; charging it is your cheapest running cost by far.
  • No airport surcharge — beyond the flat 30€ delivery, which also covers collection.
  • No cleaning fee — return it in reasonable condition and that is the end of it.
  • No second-driver fee — additional drivers can be added to the agreement at no cost.

Charging costs a fraction of a tank.

Six Tesla Superchargers cover Slovenia, the furthest 130 km from Ljubljana.

Nothing waiting at the end.

No fuel policy, no mileage reconciliation, no cleaning charge on return.

Questions answered

Frequently asked questions.

How much does it cost to rent a Tesla in Slovenia per day?

90€ a day between October and April, and 120€ a day between May and September. Rentals of six days or more are charged at the 90€ rate regardless of season, and a month is 2500€.

Is the deposit an extra cost?

No. The 500€ deposit is a refundable security hold, kept separate from the rental cost and returned once the car has been checked back in.

Is insurance included in the price?

Yes, full comprehensive insurance is part of the daily rate. It is not sold separately at handover and there is no cheaper tier that leaves you exposed.

Are there mileage limits?

None. Mileage is unlimited on every rental, so there is no per-kilometre charge and no reason to plan your route around a daily allowance.

How much does charging cost compared to fuel?

Considerably less. Charging at a hotel or apartment overnight is the cheapest option, and a Supercharger stop costs a fraction of filling a petrol tank of comparable range.

What is the cheapest way to rent a Tesla here?

Book six days or more, travel outside the May to September window, and take delivery in Ljubljana rather than the airport. That combination gives the 90€ rate with no delivery fee.

Six days changes the maths.

From the sixth day the rate drops to 90€ regardless of season.
